Sources cite that the companies will develop replicable recycling facilities in 2021 that can create a circular community-focused solution. The ability to trace and track every package will offer supply chain transparency to all parties in the value chain.
For the record, ePac is a global company that serves small and medium-size businesses through a network of 14 America-based community-based flexible packaging facilities.
The company leverages digital printing technology to produce packaging that can be serialized with an exclusive code. This enables brands, retailers, or consumers to track packaging by using Blockchain and IoT technology.
On the other hand, RPT uses patented technology and proprietary formulations to produce high demand products from co-mingled plastics. With a ‘plastic only’ collection process particularly designed to decrease handling and carbon footprints, the company’s platform allows traceability and consumer engagement to ensure that no plastic product is left behind.
