ONE Championship, a Singapore-based Martial arts organization, recently announced its partnership with Facebook, landing multiple deals including a Facebook Gaming channel dedicated towards featuring ONE’s top athletes, exclusive content on Facebook Watch, and a VR experience through the Facebook-owned Oculus platform.
Group CCO of ONE Championship, Hari Vijayaranjan, stated that the company is committed towards discovering new ways to connect authentically with fans and allowing them to experience the stories created by the athlete superheroes.
The long-term partnership with Facebook has been pivotal in reaching audiences worldwide and the extension of the partnership will help ONE Championship to leverage the power of Facebook platforms, be it VR with Oculus, Facebook Gaming, or Facebook Watch, added the CCO.
Director Sports Partnerships Facebook Asia Pacific, Joyee Biswas, on that matter, was thrilled on the partnership, stating that community is the core of ONE Championship and Facebook will continue to support them reach their audience. The announcement today also marks the arrival of ONE’s content to the Oculus platform wherein their community will interact and create a meaningful experience for fans.
For the record, ONE’s Facebook page has surpassed 25M followers and the company already crossed 5 billion platform video views as of 2019.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the partnership includes an agreement to deliver customized content to martial arts fans across the globe, filled with unique camera angles and behind-the-scenes clips among others, which will be exclusive to IGTV and Facebook Watch.
The next agreement involves the launch of ONE Esports Facebook Gaming channel, where ONE athletes will livestream gameplays and interact with their fans daily.
The last one follows the launch of "Only on Oculus" next-gen VR content available through the Venues app for Oculus Quest headset where fans can virtually experience the best seat in the room.
