The HKTB (Hong Kong Tourism Board) and the STB (Singapore Tourism Board) have recently entered a collaboration deal. The partnership is aimed at welcoming travelers on the Hong Kong-Singapore ATB (Air Travel Bubble) launch, prior to the 1st flight departure on 22nd November 2020.
The recently announced all-purpose, bilateral, & quarantine-free arrangement can be considered a breakthrough for the tourism industry across the globe, which will significantly pave the way for a safe international travel resumption. In addition, the partnership highlights a close connection between these two destinations and their mutual commitments to ensure a safe travel experience amid the ongoing pandemic.
Both HKTB and STB prioritize the health and safety of the travelers and locals. In order to meet the travelers’ concerns, both destinations have developed city-wide certification programs for safety and hygiene. Moreover, the HKTB has introduced the ‘Anti-epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification Scheme’, in a bid to ensure the integration of anti-epidemic measures in every touchpoint of the visitors’ journey. On the other hand, SG Clean of Singapore is a mark of excellence awarded to several businesses across the region, including tourism establishments, with an aim to meet the high standards of sanitization and hygiene.
In addition to the latest partnership deal, the tourism boards of these two cities are planning to carry out joint promotional activities including coordinated social media content. They also have prepared special gifts for the 1st batch of visitors on the Air Travel Bubble, which include a reusable face mask. Additionally, curated by Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific, travelers on the 1st ATB flights out of both cities will be offered a special in-flight menu including local favorites from Singapore and Hong Kong on 22nd November. This menu will be made available on every ATB flight till 2020 end.
Furthermore, both cities are set to shower visitors with several compelling experiences. For example, Hong Kong will welcome Singapore’s winter holidaymakers with its Christmas celebrations, with the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival providing gastronomical offers.
