T-Systems, German IT services and consulting firm, has reportedly announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud, a cloud platform by Google, to offer solutions and managed services that help enterprise clients in their digital transformation with the cloud.
As a part of this partnership, T-Systems will provide migration support, consulting services, and managed services to enterprise clients leveraging Google Cloud capabilities.
Adel Al-Saleh, CEO of T-Systems said that companies’ joint goal is to support enterprises in their digitalization and enhance business processes with cloud capabilities. This partnership is in line with the company’s strategy to generate value-addition for customers with managed cloud services.
Thomas Kurian, the CEO of Google Cloud, said that the company is thrilled to collaborate with T-Systems to bring cloud solutions and services to clients. T-Systems' extensive experience in managing IT enterprise environments and business transformation expertise, would be an asset to customers implementing and evaluating cloud solutions.
According to sources, T-Systems will develop a dedicated Google Cloud competence center to help enterprise clients assess their business requirements and develop & execute custom cloud solutions to help address them.
This new center will be operated by business transformation professionals at T-Systems and will focus on solutions in areas such as SAP application modernization, large-scale workload migrations to the cloud, development of new ML and AI solutions, and solutions for data warehouse & data analytics in the cloud. In the beginning, a new competence center will be delivering solutions for key industries such as automotive, manufacturing, public sector, and logistics.
Evidently, Google cloud has been in headlines for various partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. Last month, the company bought technology solution provider, Cornerstone Technology, to assist users in migrating their mainframe data.
For the record, Cornerstone Technology assists companies to migrate mainframe data via a highly automated process. The company has been helping clients convert databases and languages to ready applications for advanced environments.
